The Road to the Super Bowl Continues With Our Free NFL Divisional Playoff Picks

All four favorites covered in the mild card weekend (and of course we were on only one of them), and now we're on to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs today and tomorrow.

Our uninspiring 1-3 start and relative slide at the end of the season aside, we're back to pick the games in arguably the best weekend the NFL has to offer. Four potentially great games. Unlike past years, it really feels like these are the best eight we could have hoped for, now let's have them figure out the rest.

We haven't had a winning week since Week 14, going a putrid 4-10 since then. Here's hoping we figure things out in the divisional round. One reason we think we might: we hate all of our picks.

49ers -3 over the Packers

Falcons -3 over the Seahawks

Ravens +10 over the Broncos

Texans +10 over the Patriots

Did we mention we are 4-10 in our last 14? We feel overly contrarian this week, seemingly doing the exact opposite of everyone else. There are lots of very good cappers on the Packers and Seahawks, the small road dogs in the NFC, and a lot of very good cappers on the Broncos and Ravens, the very large favorites in the AFC. Flip that around and you have our picks.

We think Kaepernick, first playoff start and all, will give the Packers fits, while Atlanta is being underlooked at home. The Ravens and Texans are too good to get 10 points, even on the road against what might be the best two teams in football. Anyway, that's our moronic thinking.

For reference, our suddenly not so great weekly breakdown, which may get even uglier pretty quickly:
