It's officially summer: we're betting on tennis.
Rather than post the complete 2012 Wimbledon odds which, outside of the top five or so, are of little to no use to anyone, we'd rather focus on the top two in both the men's and women's singles events via the future bet that allows us to wager on whether or not the respective championships will feature the top two favorites from the competition.
Wimbledon gets underway tomorrow and we're not going to waste the opportunity to waste away some of our summer lull on tennis' premier event.
As always, ladies first.
Will the 2012 Wimbledon Women's singles feature a Maria Sharapova vs. Serena Williams Final?

As always, there will be upsets at Wimbledon. Case in point: Serena last year. In fact, neither of these two "favorites" even won the thing last year. At 5/1, Petra Kvitova must be fuming that the oddsmakers aren't even giving her a chance to defend her Wimbledon crown. It's not like this Sharapova-Serena matchup has been a lock over the last few years. It's only ever happened once--way back in 2004.
The obvious bet here is No, but at -550, it's probably not even worth it. Likewise, going with Yes at just +350 doesn't seem a worthwhile venture either.
As for the men:
Will the 2012 Wimbledon Men's singles feature a Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal Final?
Yes +150
No -200
This chalk, we can live with. At -200, we'll take the bet that we won't see a repeat of last year's championship between Djoko and Rafa. Roger Federer and even Andy Roddick, among others, are always lurking.
Federer isn't the same player he was when he went to this thing on seven-straight occasions, but he's not to be written off either.
Yes here is a bit more practical for the gentlemen than it is the ladies, but there is good value in banking on either of the top two to be upset for -200 (which equates to 50 cents on the dollar).
To summarize: We're betting on either Djokovic or Nadal to be upset at some point in the tourney (-200), and we're sitting out on the women, watching only to objectify these grunting babes like the perverts that we are.
