Happy 4th Birthday, Stock Lemon!

It's December 25, which of course means that we're celebrating the birth of Stock Lemon, a site that has, on more than one occasion, died--only to rise again. And Jesus Christ, we can't believe it's been four years.

So here we are. Now four years into this project that started as little more than a satirical look at penny stocks and a way to piss off the moderators on the covers message boards. We haven't made much money over the years in terms of advertising or, ahem, donations (a great idea during this Christmas season), but we've made plenty of friends and readers that are near and dear to our hearts.

Keep coming back, dear reader, and we'll keep posting sporadically and unpredictably during any given month, providing free picks that are hitting well below the equator as of late. We'll have plenty more unfulfilled promises in the new year. We promise.

Free NCAA Football Picks Look For Repeat of Last Year's 90% Performance

We've heard your feedback and we're ready to get back into some college football betting, digging into the Beef O'Brady's Bowl tonight.

This one hits close to home for FIU, being played in St. Petersburg, and overall they are just a better team than Marshall. We're glad to make this our first bowl pick of the season as we look to recapture the magic of our 9-1 2010-11 bowling action..

Free NFL Picks Limp to the Finish Line (60% YTD)

We've been a little less active on this here site the last couple of weeks as we try to figure out what the hell is going on with our Free Picks. First, our Free NCAA Football Picks ended the season horribly, and now the Free NFL Picks, our bread and butter, are destined to do the same.

Posting consecutive losing weeks for the first time since... last year, we're looking to get out of this mini-slump this Sunday. And we hope some Christmas cheer helps our cause.

Debating Our Free NCAA Football Picks Bowl Betting Plan

Our Free NCAA Football Picks started out great, then fizzled, then came back to life, then completely crashed down the stretch.

Now, we're at a crossroads. How do we bet the 2011-12 college football bowl schedule?

We were fairly aggressive last year and winded up with a 9-1 bowl record that saved our mediocre season. Will the opposite be true this year? Our picks are 1-5 in the last two weeks and we can't seem to figure out why, other than the fact that we simply suck at this.

It's frustrating, and it has us debating the number of games we'll be betting this bowl season. Thoughts? Prayers? Send them to stocklemonblog@gmail.com and let us know what you think.
